Taylor Swift - 22 (It's been my birthday!)

So, now I'm 22 years old. I spent the day sick in stomach flu, with my boyfriend taking care of me. He came in with this breakfast, presents and then we took the time to watch the first four Harry Potter movies in bed. That was kind of the only thing I had the strength to do, and then we fell asleep kind of early and slept the whole night through until the next day.

So, happy birthday to me, and now that I'm not ill anymore, I'll be posting here again!

A small art gallery
So this weekend we walked about 30 metres from our front door, and to this little art gallery with a new exhibition. It's two small rooms, and this exhibition was well worth the short walk.

The gallery is called Makeriet (The Makery), and is located at Möllevångsgatan 37 in Malmö. I've never been there before, but I've been wanting to go there for a while now.

And this is part of the exhibition! The artist is very talented, and her name is Stina Johnsson. These ones are a few of the ones I like the most, but all the work exhibited was kind of breath taking. Especially one painting that I didn't include in a photo, that's a lot of color and depicts a sunrise/-set with purple and pink. Loved it!

So this is recommended, they are open between 1pm and 5 pm at saturdays and sundays, and this exhibition is available until February 28th!

Recipe: Breakfast Juice

So this is a quick recipe for you guys! I recently invested in a quite cheap version of a juicer, and that means I've been juicing a lot!

I didn't think I would love it as much as I do, and even if I've just had it for two weeks or so, I've been trying a few combinations! That means I've found a favorite already, and that is what I would like to share with you today.

You'll need:
2 apples
1 orange
1 big celery stick
1 big carrot
1/2 lemon

Cut the peel off of the orange and lemon, so that there's no white left. Cut the apple in 4 or 8 pieces and take away the middle part with the seeds. Peel the carrot and chop off the end where the carrot is attached to the leaves, and then prep the celery stick and take away any brown parts.

Start with the carrot, then the celery stick, the apple, the lemon and then the orange, and put them in the juicer one at a time, or what your juicer can take really. They're all different, so read before you do this.

Then swirl around a bit in the juice container before pouring it in a tall glass or a bottle to take with you!

And that's that with that! The simple, yet extremely tasty breakfast juice with lots and lots of great things in it! I try to do this at least a few days a week, and it's really a great way to start my morning, since it's kind of filling with the vegetables in it.

Longing for Green (Lund Botanical garden)
I'm sick and tired of this grey that's outside now. I need some green in my life, and therefore me and my friend Emelie made a spontaneous trip to Lund and the Botanical garden!

The light in here is kinda magical. It flows in through tall windows in a few of the rooms, and in the others there's all windows, I mean.... It's a greenhouse. But in either end of the greenhouse is two taller buildings and in there are these tall, rounded top windows. I love that detail, and I feel like more greenhouses should have them!

Emelie thought it looked like this tree in the picture above had popsicle sticks all over the trunk, and it kinda does, doesn't it?

In a few rooms there are fish in small ponds, and also these water lilies that I've seen in bloom at other times of the year.

In another room there was this. Some kind of steam or carbon-dioxide ice maybe. At least it was a nice touch, and with all the fern it felt a bit like a magical forest!

Also, this!? I kind of love some cactae, but a lot of them really just look like they're big piles of mold. I actually like the bigger, greener kind more than the small ones, to the tall trees in the uppermost picture are the ones I would like to have in maybe a smaller version!

They were closing up at 3pm, so we went to take a fika break. I really recommend Ariman in Lund, these big piles of dessert were just 30SEK, and that's not a lot! The sodas were 25SEK though, so if you drink coffee it's probably more worth it.

And it tastes great too! I've been there once before, but that was a long time ago, and didn't feel like it was the best place then. But this time? Well, I would gladly go back there!

And that was that with that from the spontaneous trip to Lund and the botanical garden greenhouse!

Ski Trip to Skeikampen, Norway

I never told you about the trip we made to Norway at the beginning of year, did I? No, I didn't! So here we go.

We went January 3rd by car through landscapes and landscapes of first green, then whiter areas like in the pictures, and then we came to a place completely covered in white snow.

We arrived after dark, but we took a walk to see the surroundings anyway. This was part of the hotel we stayed at, all cozy and covered in snow!

The day after that I tried skiing for the first time. It's not really my cup of tea, to say the least. I don't like the cold, the hurting of legs and feet, and neither do I like the speed when you don't really know what you're doing. Really, any sport that isn't quite calm and in need of rhythm I tend to avoid.

So I stayed in most of the time when my boyfriend and his parents were out skiing. It wasn't that bad actually, since our room was this beautiful! The gold details really put an extravagant feeling to the quite old hotel.

I also took a lot of shorter walks around the hotel grounds. The snow is so fascinating, I've never seen anything like it before! I mean, southern Sweden doesn't really get a lot of snow at all. And this was freezing cold and stuck at the trees. We actually had -23° one day, and the warmest day was at -10°.

I could get used to the views though! We talked about next time, and that we should go to a place where I can get in the lift, go up to the top, take some photos and stroll around ut there, and then get in the lift and go back down again. Apparently they exist, and I feel like I need one of those to ever get the views from the tops!

At least the light is amazing! I don't think I've ever looked this good in -20° and sun. Not that it's a thing that happens a lot, but the light and the sun made everyone glow in a way that you don't see often.

Also this. The old furniture and interior of this hotel was kind of stunning. I really liked the sofas, maybe not for our home, but they were so so so comfortable! Like nothing I've ever sat in before.

But all trips have an end, and ours was only 5 days long. I took a lot of photos, some good and some bad, but I really felt a connection to the cold, white nature up at the mountain. So trips to mountains? Yes. Ski trips? No. Unless they include me not skiing and instead include walks or rides up mountains to suck in some nature and thin but fresh air.
